Looking for Early Career Funding Opportunities?

The Office of Research Development offered an introductory workshop on the wide variety of funding opportunities available to Early Career researchers and scholars. Faculty members from all disciplines were invited to attend.

In the opening session, our team covered the advantages of applying for early career funding opportunities, how to find the right match for your area of expertise, common components and potential differences in the application requirements, and resources across FSU to help you prepare a competitive proposal.

Breakout groups provided brief introductions to a sampling of major early career programs. Some examples are below (not an exhaustive list):

  • NSF CAREER
  • Department of Defense Young Investigator Programs
